Exploring the world by bike

Welcome on our blog page!
Hello! What’s the purpose of this page? We’re a couple of bycicle travelers with a goal to see a bit of a world. Here, we will share glimpses of our adventures, alongside with anything else that will cross our minds.
Our current big goal is to spend one to two years on a bike, cycling across Europe, North and South America, starting in June of 2024. You’re most welcome to join us on our journey.
If you’re interested to learn more about us, you can visit About us page. Or you can visit FAQ page to read some basic questions and answers that we’ve prepared regarding our journey. Also follow us on our Instagram page.

Mindset ...
We loved the feeling of freedom and simplicity that we’ve experienced on our walk across Slovenia. During that time, our biggest wories were what we will eat and where we will sleep. This way of stress-free living, away from our modern fast-paced world is something, that we’d like to experience more of during our journey.
Because there is no fixed goal in our minds, we have a freedom to dictate our own pace of traveling. This means that when a bad day inevitably comes, we don’t have to rush thing. Instead, we can take a day off and continue when we’re ready for it.
Our previous adventures
There are a few adventures we’ve done since we’ve met in 2021:
- Walked the 340km diagonal of Slovenia in approximately 14 days (september 2021)
- Test tour with bicycles from Slovenia to the island of Krk in Croatia and back in four days with around 200km (august 2022)
- A bit longer bicycle tour from Slovenia over three Croatian islands Krk, Rab and Cres and back. We’ve made 415km in the span of 10 days in september of 2023.
But as you can see, this list is quite short. Should we therefore plan something smaller, something more appropriate for our experience level instead year-long bike tour?
Sure, probably we should, but we’ve made our minds and there will never be a perfect time to start anything. We just have to work with what we’ve got.
